Cabinet of Architecture

architecture magazine from Tallinn
Published in English · Design · Photography · Painting · Architecture

Issue 3 – september 2025

This issue of Cabinet of Architecture explores modern minimalism, urban form, perspectives in design. We bring essays, visual studies, and critical reflections that bridge the
disciplines of architecture, photography, and painting.

In this issue, our readers will encounter a diverse panorama of contemporary architecture and culture.
We begin with an in-depth look at the Dancing House in Prague, a building that has long symbolized
the dialogue between modernity and historical context. From there, we turn to the Venice Biennale,
where architecture, art, and global discourse intersect in a constantly shifting landscape of ideas.

Equally important is Tallinn Architecture Week, which has established itself as a key platform in
Northern Europe for exploring urban futures and rethinking the role of the architect in society.
Finally, we present an analytical review of the new Kuryokhin Center in St. Petersburg,
a cultural institution that redefines the relationship between experimental art, public space,
and architectural form.

Together, these texts aim to provide not only information but also critical reflection — a way of
understanding how architecture connects cities, histories, and communities across borders.
